  3. Shape the mixture into cylindrical or oval tater tots and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and fry the tater tots in batches for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove tater tots with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.
