Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (120g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Gradually add the flour and matcha powder, mixing until a dough forms.
- Shape the dough into small balls or logs, then flatten slightly with your palm or the bottom of a glass.
- Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For an extra touch, drizzle melted white chocolate or sprinkle crushed pistachios on top after baking.
- Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before shaping can help prevent spreading.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or freeze for longer storage.
