Ingredients
- 2 lbs high-quality beef chunks (preferably lean)
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon turmeric (optional, for anti-inflammatory benefits)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef chunks and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the diced carrots, potatoes, and green beans to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the low-sodium beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour until the beef is tender and vegetables are cooked.
- Allow the stew to cool slightly before serving your dog. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- Store leftover beef stew in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freeze individual portions for up to 3 months to maintain freshness.
- Always let the stew cool before serving to prevent burns or choking.
