- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 4 tbsp orange marmalade (preferably with citrus peel)
Instructions
- Spread one side of each bread slice lightly with butter.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of marmalade evenly between two buttered slices to make one sandwich. Repeat for second sandwich.
- Use a serrated knife to trim crusts if desired, then cut diagonally into halves or quarters.
Notes
- For a grown-up twist, add a pinch of finely grated orange zest to the marmalade.
- Use crusty sourdough or brioche for a more modern take.
