- 1 large French baguette or a loaf of garlic bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4-6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the garlic butter: In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Slice the loaf: Cut the baguette or garlic bread into thick slices without cutting all the way through, leaving the bottom intact.
- Spread the garlic butter: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture between the slices and over the top of the loaf.
- Add the cheese: Stuff shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese into the cuts and sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
- Bake: Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes for a crispy top.
- Serve hot: Garnish with extra parsley if desired and enjoy your homemade parasite the smell garlic bread!
