- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons ice water
- 1 cup vanilla pastry cream

Instructions
- Mix flour and powdered sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add egg yolk and ice water, then knead into dough. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out dough and fit into tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
- Fill the cooled tart shell with vanilla pastry cream, color as desired with food coloring, and smooth top.
- Decorate with edible roses or rose candies, and gently pipe floral details with tinted frosting for a magical effect.
