Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup of honey or corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (green, purple, and blue for authentic Rick and Morty colors)
- Optional: edible markers or colored icing for added decoration
Instructions
- Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and powdered sugar. Add the melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and cohesive.
- Divide and color: Divide the dough into three equal parts. Color each portion with different food coloring—green, purple, and blue—to resemble Rick and Morty’s signature colors.
- Roll out the wafers: On a lightly floured surface, roll each colored dough into a thin sheet about 1/8 inch thick.
- Create shapes: Use cookie cutters or a knife to cut the dough into rectangular or square wafers, mimicking the shape of classic wafers.
- Bake: Place the wafers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes or until golden edges form. Keep a close watch to avoid burning.
- Decorate: Once cooled, add sparkling details with edible markers or edible icing to give your wafers that interdimensional flair.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week for maximum freshness.
- For longer storage, freeze in a sealed container for up to a month.
- Feel free to customize the food coloring to match other characters or your favorite aesthetic.
