  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp chili paste
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Chopped scallions and red chili flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix soy sauce, chili paste, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and crushed Szechuan peppercorns in a bowl.
  3. Toss chicken wings in the sauce until well coated.
  4. Arrange wings on the baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes until crispy and cooked through, flipping halfway.
  5. Garnish with scallions and red chili flakes before serving.
