Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or shaved steak)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper (green or red), thinly sliced
- 8–12 slider buns
- 6–8 ounces provolone cheese slices
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: cheese sauce, hot peppers
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak, onions, and bell pepper; season and cook until steak is browned and vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low. Arrange provolone cheese slices over the steak and vegetable mixture, allowing the cheese to melt completely for 2-3 minutes.
- Slice slider buns in half and place the bottoms on a baking sheet. Scoop the steak and cheese mixture onto each bun generously.
- Cover with the top halves of the buns and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes until lightly toasted and cheese is bubbly. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use high-quality, thinly sliced steak for the best texture and flavor.
- Avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook in batches if necessary.
- Ensure provolone cheese is fully melted for a creamy bite.
- Toast slider buns to enhance texture and prevent sogginess.
- Customize sliders with favorite toppings like cheese sauce or hot peppers.
