- ½ tsp baking soda

- 1–2 tsp green food coloring
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Decorative sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt, whisking them together.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients and add green food coloring, mixing well.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Shape the cookie dough into spooky figures and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack and decorate if desired.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
- For longer storage, freeze cookies in a freezer-safe container for up to three months.
- Feel free to experiment with different food coloring for a unique twist!
- These cookies can easily be made healthier with whole wheat flour and less sugar.
