Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and tools including two 9-inch round cake pans and decorating tools
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare cake batter by creaming butter and sugar, then adding eggs and dry ingredients
- Grease pans, divide batter evenly, and bake for 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean
- Cool cakes completely, then stack with buttercream frosting and decorate to resemble Kramer’s coffee table book
- Use black frosting for book title details and optional edible gold dust for gilded edges
