  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

  • 2 tbsp orange zest
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (for swirl)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, and ginger.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add egg, coffee, vanilla, and orange zest; mix well.
  4. Gradually fold in dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Combine brown sugar and ½ tsp cinnamon for the swirl. Sprinkle half over the batter, swirl gently with a knife, then add remaining batter and top with remaining cinnamon sugar.
  6. Bake 55–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to a rack.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso powder (1 tsp) in the batter.
