- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing well.
- Mix in flour and baking powder alternately with milk until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then dust with powdered sugar and serve with berries.
Notes
- Can substitute with gluten-free flour for GF version.
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of Earl Grey tea leaves to the batter.
