- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the frosting:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Edible pearls and decorative sugar for embellishment
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cupcake or muffin tin.
- Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl. In a separate bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients and milk until batter is smooth. Pour into prepared tin, filling each cup halfway.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Prepare frosting by beating butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Decorate cooled cakes with frosting, edible pearls, and sugar accents.

- You can add a hint of Earl Grey tea to the frosting for an authentic London flavor.
