Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large pre-made pizza dough (or homemade for extra fun)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce (preferably marinara)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- Black olives, sliced (for web details)
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
- Olive oil for brushing
- Optional: red pepper flakes for added spice
Instructions
- Set your oven to 450°F (230°C) and lightly grease your baking sheet or pizza stone.
- On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough to approximately 12 inches in diameter. Transfer it to prepared baking surface.
- Spread an even layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
- Arrange sliced red, yellow, and green bell peppers in a web pattern radiating from the center. Use sliced black olives along the web lines to add contrast and web effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese bubbly. Remove from oven and brush with olive oil.
Notes
- For a more realistic web pattern, consider piping black olive paste with a fine tip onto the web lines.
- You can prepare toppings beforehand for convenience but assemble just before baking for the crispiest crust.
- Adjust spice level with red pepper flakes as desired.
