Ingredients
Scale
- Gummy worms (or similar gummy candies)
- 1 cup fruit juice (pomegranate or grape for a rich flavor)
- 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup
- 1 teaspoon citric acid (for a tangy kick)
- Optional: food coloring to enhance the visual effect
Instructions
- Prepare your gummy: In a small saucepan, pour the fruit juice and sprinkle the gelatin powder evenly over the surface. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Heat and dissolve: Warm the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin completely dissolves. Avoid boiling.
- Add sweetness: Remove from heat and mix in the honey and citric acid. For colorful effects, add a few drops of food coloring.
- Pour and set: Pour the mixture into silicone molds shaped like worms or logs. Let it cool at room temperature for 15 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Assemble the Klingon Gagh: Once set, remove the gelatin from molds and thread the gummy worms onto strands or serving platters.
Notes
- Store your Gummy Worms in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
- Refrigerate for up to a week for optimal freshness.
