Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Green bell peppers, sliced (for the spaceship’s trails)
- Black olives, sliced (to create stars)
- Red and yellow cherry tomatoes (for fiery accents)
- Blue food coloring (to create a galaxy effect)
- Assorted toppings such as pepperoni, ham, or vegetables
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface until it’s evenly thin.
- Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. Lightly brush the surface with olive oil.
- Mix a few drops of blue food coloring into the marinara sauce to give it a cosmic hue. Spread this sauce evenly over the pizza base.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top.
- Use sliced black olives to form star-like dots across the pizza, mimicking stars in space.
- Arrange sliced green bell peppers and cherry tomatoes to craft the spaceship shape, making sure to leave space for the “trail” behind the ship.
- Add extra toppings such as pepperoni or vegetables for detail.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Optional: Brush the crust with a little olive oil for a shiny finish and a touch of flavor.
Notes
- Use a variety of colorful toppings to enhance the galaxy effect and spaceship design.
- If you prefer a spicier flavor, add crushed red pepper flakes before baking.
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
