  • Total Time: 37 minutes
  • Yield: 9 brownies

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter
  • 2 oz (57g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • For topping: 2 oz (57g) white chocolate, melted; 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips, melted; edible gold star sprinkles; brown sugar for fur texture

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Fold in salt, flour, and chocolate chips until just incorporated.
  5. Pour batter into pan and bake for 20–22 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  6. Melt white and dark chocolate separately. Pipe a Chewbacca face using the white chocolate (eyes, mouth, nose) and outline fur with dark chocolate.
  7. Sprinkle with brown sugar for texture, and add edible gold star sprinkles.

Notes

  • For sharper Chewbacca details, chill the white chocolate piping bag between uses.
  • Use real chocolate (not chocolate chips) for best setting. If using chips, add 1 tsp coconut oil to white chocolate for smoother piping.
  • These brownies keep well in an airtight container overnight but are best fresh.
