- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter
- 2 oz (57g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (50g) packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- For topping: 2 oz (57g) white chocolate, melted; 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips, melted; edible gold star sprinkles; brown sugar for fur texture
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
- Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
- Fold in salt, flour, and chocolate chips until just incorporated.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 20–22 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
- Melt white and dark chocolate separately. Pipe a Chewbacca face using the white chocolate (eyes, mouth, nose) and outline fur with dark chocolate.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar for texture, and add edible gold star sprinkles.
Notes
- For sharper Chewbacca details, chill the white chocolate piping bag between uses.
- Use real chocolate (not chocolate chips) for best setting. If using chips, add 1 tsp coconut oil to white chocolate for smoother piping.
- These brownies keep well in an airtight container overnight but are best fresh.
