Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup butter (unsalted)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Chocolate frosting (for decoration)
- Chocolate chips and candies (for Chewbacca’s features)
Instructions
- Melt butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- Combine sugar with melted chocolate mixture, add eggs one at a time, and whisk in vanilla extract. In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the brownie mixture into a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool before frosting.
- Once cooled, spread chocolate frosting over the brownies and decorate with chocolate chips and candies to create Chewbacca’s face.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 2 months.
- If substituting butter, consider using vegetable oil, but keep in mind it may alter the texture.
- For an egg substitute, use unsweetened applesauce, mashed bananas, or flaxseed meal mixed with water.
