Ingredients
Scale
- 1 prepared pizza dough (check out our dinner section for homemade crust recipes)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce or marinara
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (canned or fresh)
- 1/2 cup sliced ham or Canadian bacon (optional, for added protein)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving about 1 inch around the edges.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Distribute pineapple chunks evenly across the cheese.
- Add sliced ham or Canadian bacon if desired for extra flavor.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with dried oregano or Italian seasoning.
- If using a pizza stone, carefully transfer the assembled pizza onto the preheated stone. Otherwise, place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves.
Notes
- Can substitute fresh pineapple with canned pineapple for convenience.
- Use a pizza stone for the crispiest crust.
- Feel free to add extra toppings like sliced jalapenos or red onions for a personal touch.
