Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack.
- Pat the chicken wings dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- For extra crunch, toss the wings in your preferred coating or breading before baking.
- Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix hot sauce, melted butter, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and a pinch of salt to make the spicy sauce.
- Once baked, toss the wings in the sauce until fully coated.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing, garnished with sliced green onions for a Hawkins-themed presentation.
Notes
- Ensure wings are patted dry for crispiness.
- Adjust cayenne pepper to control heat level.
- For extra crispy wings, consider coating with baking powder prior to baking.
- These wings are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
