Ingredients
Scale
- 1 recipe Belgian waffles (or store-bought), baked until crisp
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
- 2 tbsp strawberry or raspberry sauce
- 2 tbsp crushed peanuts or chopped toasted almonds
- 2 tbsp colorful sprinkles or rainbow candies
- 1 tbsp melted butter (optional, for extra crispiness)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). If using homemade waffles, bake until golden and crisp; brush lightly with melted butter for extra crunch.
- Place one whole waffle on each plate or in ramekins.
- Top each waffle with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, pressing gently so the ice cream adheres.
- Drizzle generously with chocolate and strawberry sauces in a swirl pattern.
- Sprinkle with crushed nuts and colorful candies.
- Serve immediately—ideally with a vintage Hawkins Lab toy or flashlight for atmosphere!
Notes
- For an “Upside Down” effect, flip the waffle before placing the ice cream (crust-side up) to mirror Eleven’s upside-down world.
- Use dairy-free ice cream and gluten-free waffle mix for allergen-friendly swaps.
- For extra drama, use black sesame swirl sauce or activated charcoal powder in the syrup.
