Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix until smooth.
- Divide dough, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the chilled dough to about ¼ inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Use a clock-shaped cookie cutter or template to cut out shapes.
- Place on parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely.
- Prepare royal icing and tint with dark colors.
- Outline and decorate the clock faces with piping tips, adding clock hands, numbers, and Vecna’s eyes.
- Let the icing dry thoroughly before handling or stacking.
