- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup neon-colored sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, alternating with milk, ending with dry ingredients. Fold in neon sprinkles.
- Divide batter evenly between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserts in the center comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely, then frost with colorful buttercream and decorate with additional neon sprinkles.
Notes
- You can customize the neon colors by choosing different colored sprinkles.
- Make sure the cakes are completely cooled before frosting to prevent melting.
