Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices of sturdy white bread or your preferred bread
- 4 slices of crispy bacon
- 2 large eggs
- Cheddar cheese slices
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Pickles or lettuce leaves for garnish
- Butter or cooking spray for toasting
Instructions
- Cook the bacon slices in a skillet until crispy, then set aside on paper towels to drain.
- In the same skillet, fry the eggs sunny-side up or to your preferred doneness. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Lightly toast the bread slices, either in a toaster or on a skillet with a little butter.
- Mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to create a flavorful spread.
- Spread the mayo-mustard mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on one bread slice, layer with the crispy bacon, and top with the fried egg.
- Garnish with pickles or lettuce if desired. Place the other bread slice on top to complete the sandwich.
- Press lightly to ensure everything holds together. For a warm, melty sandwich, grill in a sandwich press or in a skillet until cheese melts and bread is golden.
Notes
- For an extra crunch, toast the bread thoroughly before assembling.
- Feel free to customize with additional toppings like avocado or tomato slices for added flavor and nutrition.
- Reheat in an air fryer or toaster oven to maintain crispiness, but bacon may become less crispy after refrigeration.
