- 1 Β½ cups all-purpose flour
- Β½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- β cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup mixed fruit jam (your choice)
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Cream softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, mix well, then add cold water.
- Incorporate flour and a pinch of salt until a dough forms. Wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough to about ΒΌ inch thickness and cut out circles for tart bases.
- Place the circles on a lined baking tray, ensuring space between them.
- Select your favorite fruit jam and make sure itβs at room temperature for easy spreading.
- Add a generous spoonful of jam to the center of each tart base, being careful not to overfill.
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the tarts to cool before dusting with powdered sugar.

- Store tarts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- Refrigerate for longer storage, but enjoy fresh for best flavor.
