- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1 teaspoon dried lavender
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and lavender in a bowl.
- Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add sesame seeds and milk, stirring until the dough comes together.
- Form into small rounds and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden. Cool before serving.
Notes
- Can be flavored with honey or a hint of lemon zest.
- Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
