Instructions
- Begin by freshly squeezing the lemons to obtain about 1 ½ cups of lemon juice. Use a handheld lemon squeezer for easy juicing.
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat and stir until the sugar completely dissolves, creating a simple syrup.
- Let the syrup cool slightly. Then, in a pitcher, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, and remaining 3 cups of cold water.
- Stir well, taste, and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more honey or lemon juice if needed.
- Add ice cubes and fresh mint leaves for added flavor and presentation.
- For a sparkling twist, top with a splash of sparkling water before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor.
- Adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the sugar and honey levels.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 days for the freshest taste.
