- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, green, and yellow)
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Slowly add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Form into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the risen dough to your desired thickness. Spread pizza sauce and top with mozzarella, bell peppers, olives, and pepperoni.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftover pizza in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, wrap individual slices in foil and freeze.
- To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
