Ingredients
Scale
- 4 metal or plastic forks (preferably shiny to mimic Ariel’s dinglehopper)
- 1 cup of high-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (for decorative accents)
- Food-safe glitter or edible shimmer spray (optional, for a magical finish)
- Sprigs of edible seaweed or teal-colored sugar for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by melting the chocolate using a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until silky smooth.
- Dip each fork into the melted chocolate, covering the head and handle generously. Gently tap off excess chocolate and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- While wet, sprinkle with edible glitter or shimmer spray for a magical underwater effect. Optionally, drizzle with white chocolate for added detail.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until fully hardened. Use a rapid-chill tool for faster setting if available.
- Optionally, add edible seaweed or teal sugar around handles for an authentic mermaid look. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid direct sunlight to prevent melting and smudging.
- Prepare ahead of time, up to a day in advance, for best results.
