Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 (12 oz) bottle of your favorite beer (see recommended beers here)
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard loaf pan or round baking dish.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add Beer: Pour the beer into the dry mixture gradually, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan or shape into a round on a baking sheet.
- Bake: Drizzle the melted butter over the top, then bake for approximately 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cooling: Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy fresh and warm!
Notes
- Feel free to add herbs, garlic, or cheese to customize your bread.
- For extra flavor, brush the crust with additional melted butter after baking.
- Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
