  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Roll small portions of the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 160Β°F (71Β°C).
  4. In a large skillet or pot, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the sauce, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let them simmer for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the meatball mixture to prevent tough meatballs.
  • Use quality ground meats and fresh herbs for the best flavor.
  • Allow the meatballs to simmer in marinara sauce for enhanced flavor.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat or mix in finely chopped veggies for added nutrition.
