Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fruit juice (apple, grape, or strawberry)
- 2 tablespoons gelatin powder (for the wobbly gummies)
- 2-3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- Green food coloring (optional, to enhance frog appearance)
- Silicone frog-shaped mold
- Cooking spray (to help release the gummies)
Instructions
- Lightly spray the silicone frog mold with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, pour the fruit juice and heat over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling.
- Add the gelatin powder gradually, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Continue stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in honey or agave syrup if you like a sweeter gummy.
- If using, add a few drops of green food coloring to achieve a vibrant frog color. Stir thoroughly.
- Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into the silicone frog molds, filling each cavity completely.
- Place the mold in the refrigerator for at least 30-45 minutes or until the gummies are firm.
- Once set, gently pop the frog-shaped gummies out of the mold.
Notes
- Ensure the mold is well-greased to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
- For a chewier texture, use more gelatin; for softer gummies, reduce gelatin slightly.
- You can customize the flavor by changing the fruit juice used.
- If vegan, substitute gelatin with agar-agar following recommended ratios.
