Instructions
- Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature.
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- Mix the sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and dried herbs in a small bowl.
- Rub the olive oil all over the steaks, then evenly coat with the spice mixture.
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet or grill over high heat until extremely hot.
- Add a little oil to the pan if using a skillet.
- Place the steaks in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness.
- During the last minute, add the minced garlic for aromatic flavor.
- Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
