Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup colorful sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt. Cream the mixture until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until fully integrated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined. Carefully fold in the chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each for spreading. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- For longer storage, freeze the cookies after they have cooled completely.
