Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boxes of gelatin (berry or lime preferred)
- 2 cups boiling water (1 cup per box)
- 2 cups cold water (1 cup per box)
- An actual mini stapler (preferably unused or a plastic replica)
- Food coloring (optional, for extra color effects)
- Fresh whipped cream or toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the gelatin by mixing each box with 1 cup boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
- Add 1 cup cold water to each mixture, stirring well. Incorporate food coloring if desired for vibrant colors.
- Pour each gelatin mixture into clear plastic cups, filling about halfway.
- Refrigerate the cups for at least 2 hours or until the gelatin is firm.
- Carefully position a mini stapler or plastic prop into the partially set gelatin, ensuring it looks embedded.
- Gently pour additional gelatin over the stapler to fill the cup completely, then refrigerate for another hour to set.
- Optionally, top with whipped cream or colorful sprinkles for added visual appeal.
Notes
- Use a plastic or toy stapler for safety and ease of positioning.
- Chill the gelatin in advance for faster setting times.
- Personalize with different flavored gels and food coloring for varied effects.
- Ensure the stapler or prop is dry before embedding to prevent melting.
