Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 cup hot sauce (preferably a blend for depth of flavor)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Celery sticks for serving
- Blue cheese dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Combine hot sauce, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt in a large bowl to create the marinade.
- Add chicken wings to the marinade, ensure they are well-coated, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C) and fry the wings in batches for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Transfer cooked wings to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Toss the fried wings in a bowl with additional hot sauce to coat them evenly.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and grill the wings for an additional 3-4 minutes per side for char and flavor enhancement.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in an oven preheated to 350°F (175°C) for best results, avoiding the microwave to prevent sogginess.
