- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water, stirring until fully cooked and seasoned.
- Layer tortilla chips at the bottom of a baking dish, followed by half of the cooked beef mixture, black beans, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden. Let cool slightly before garnishing with jalapeños and green onions.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Can be made ahead of time; just refrigerate and bake later.
- Feel free to add toppings like sliced olives, diced tomatoes, or hot sauce for extra flavor.
