Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Fresh lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced pickles
- Ketchup and mustard (to taste)
- French fries (for serving)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients on a clean countertop.
- Season the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to keep the patties tender.
- Divide the seasoned beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
- Heat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking.
- Assemble the burger on a toasted bun starting with lettuce, then placing the cheesy beef patty. Add tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard, finishing off with the top bun.
Notes
- Leftover Krusty Burgers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, separate patties from buns and toppings before storing.
- Cooked patties can be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw and reheat when ready to enjoy.
