Create your very own Krusty Burger, the iconic fast food loved by fans of The Simpsons! This homemade version features juicy beef patties, fresh veggies, and a special sauce that delivers a taste of Springfield in every bite.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced pickles
  • Ketchup and mustard (to taste)
  • French fries (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients on a clean countertop.
  2. Season the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to keep the patties tender.
  3. Divide the seasoned beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
  4. Heat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking.
  5. Assemble the burger on a toasted bun starting with lettuce, then placing the cheesy beef patty. Add tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard, finishing off with the top bun.

Notes

  • Leftover Krusty Burgers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For best results, separate patties from buns and toppings before storing.
  • Cooked patties can be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw and reheat when ready to enjoy.
