Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless country-style ribs
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 4 hoagie rolls or similar buns
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- Lettuce leaves (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: liquid smoke for a boost of smoky flavor
Instructions
- Cut the boneless country-style ribs into rib-shaped patties, season with salt, pepper, and liquid smoke (if desired), and marinate with half the BBQ sauce for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium heat and grill each side of the rib patties for 4-5 minutes, basting with the remaining BBQ sauce.
- Prepare hoagie rolls or buns by toasting lightly if desired; slice dill pickles, chop onions, and wash lettuce leaves.
- Assemble your Ribwich by placing a rib patty on the bottom half of each bun, layering on lettuce, onions, and pickles, then topping with the other half of the bun.
Notes
- Marinate the ribs for several hours or overnight for optimal flavor.
- Choose a high-quality BBQ sauce as it will be a dominant flavor in the sandwich.
- Toasting the buns prevents sogginess and adds a nice texture.
- Customize with toppings like coleslaw or cheese for personal flair.
- Consider using liquid smoke or grilling over wood chips for added smokiness.
