Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples. Toss them with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add the cold cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the dry ingredients until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for an extra magical touch.
