Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat) for juicy burgers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese for melty goodness
- 4 burger buns, toasted for crunch
- 1 large tomato, sliced for freshness
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded for a crisp bite
- 1 small onion, sliced for adding flavor
- Pickles, mustard, and ketchup to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, placing a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute to melt.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill, then layer your burger with lettuce, grilled patty, tomato, onion, and pickles, finishing with mustard and ketchup.
- Gently press the top of the burger bun down to meld the flavors before serving. Garnish as desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover patties separately from buns and toppings in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- When reheating, warm patties in a skillet and toast buns for the best texture.
- Experiment with toppings like avocado or bacon for added flavor.
