  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and active dry yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the warm honey mead and melted butter. Add the egg and whisk until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased baking pan. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
