Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, ketchup, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into a sturdy hammer shape or simply form it into a loaf. Garnish with additional breadcrumbs or a sprig of rosemary for a decorative handle.
- Place the shaped meatloaf on the prepared baking sheet or into a loaf pan. Brush the top with extra ketchup or glaze.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow juices to settle.
Notes
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce for extra flavor.
- Broil for the last 3-5 minutes for a crispy crust.
