- 1 batch chocolate or vanilla cupcake mix (12 cupcakes)
- 1 recipe green buttercream frosting (made with gel food coloring)
- 24 mini chocolate chips
- 24 small candy eyes (or white chocolate dots)
- 24 mini pretzel twists or candy canes (for alien arms)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare cake batter per package instructions (using green food coloring if using plain batter). Fill liners 2/3 full.
- Bake 18–20 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Frost cooled cupcakes with green buttercream. Use a piping bag with a round tip to pipe a dome-shaped layer.
- Attach 3 mini chocolate chips or candy eyes in a triangle pattern to create the alien face.
- Press a mini pretzel twist or candy piece sideways onto each side of the cupcake for alien arms.
Notes
- For extra vibrancy, use gel food coloring (not liquid) in frosting and batter.
- Bake time may vary—check at 16 minutes.
- For allergen-free, use GF flour and dairy-free butter.
