Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boxes (3 oz each) of different flavored gelatin (e.g., blue raspberry, cherry, green apple, grape)
- 4 envelopes (0.25 oz each) of unflavored gelatin
- 4 cups of cold water, divided
- 4 cups of boiling water, divided
- Optional: Sweetener, if desired (e.g., sugar, honey)
Instructions
- Begin by selecting your first flavor of gelatin. In a mixing bowl, combine one box of flavored gelatin with one envelope of unflavored gelatin.
- Add 1 cup of boiling water to the gelatin mixture and whisk until all the gelatin is completely dissolved. Then, add 1 cup of cold water and stir well.
- Pour the gelatin mixture into your baking dish, creating an even layer.
- Place the dish in the refrigerator and let the gelatin set for at least 2 hours. Repeat steps 1-3 with the remaining flavors, pouring each layer on top of the previous set layer.
Notes
- Use Unflavored Gelatin: Adding unflavored gelatin helps create a firmer texture that holds its shape well.
- Layering: Ensure each layer is fully set before adding the next to prevent colors from bleeding into each other.
- Flavor Combinations: Get creative with your flavor combinations!
- Cutting: For clean cuts, dip your knife in warm water before slicing the gelatin into cubes.
