Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together into a bowl.
- Whip egg whites until frothy, then gradually add granulated sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
- Divide meringue into six bowls, add food coloring to each, and gently fold into the meringue.
- Transfer each color mixture into a piping bag fitted with a round tip.
- Pipe circles onto prepared baking sheets, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Let macarons sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes until a shell forms.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, cool completely on a wire rack.
- Fill with buttercream or ganache, then sandwich to complete.
