Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 tbsp unflavored gelatin
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup black cherry juice (100% juice, from concentrate)
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp black food gel coloring
- 1/4 tsp red food gel coloring
- Edible silver dust for dusting
- Few fresh cherries for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Let bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine cherry juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves (do not boil).
- -remove from heat and stir in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Divide mixture into two bowls. Add black food coloring to first bowl until deep black. Add red coloring to second bowl for vibrant center. Let cool slightly.
- Pour black mixture 1/4 inch into gummy molds. refrigerate 10 min until set.
- Pour red mixture over black layer in each mold. Refrigerate 20 min or until fully set.
- Pop gummies out and dust lightly with edible silver dust.
- Top with halved fresh cherries and serve.
Notes
- Use 100% cherry juice for best color and flavor.
- For extra shimmer, mix a pinch of silver dust into the red layer.
- Store in airtight container between parchment for up to 5 days.
