- 4 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped chives
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
- Let onions cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, and chopped chives.
- Stir in the cooled caramelized onions. Season with salt and pepper.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

- Best served with crispy baguette slices and veggie sticks.
