Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of sugar (optional for slight sweetness)
- 1 (12 oz) bottle or can of your favorite beer
- 1/4 cup of melted unsalted butter or olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add the beer: Pour the beer into the dry mix gradually, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix—lumps are okay!
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Brush the top with melted butter immediately after baking for extra flavor and shine.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use your favorite craft beer for unique flavors.
- For a crustier loaf, bake directly on a baking stone or sheet.
- Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days; freeze slices for longer storage.
